Two-Way Talking

Remember when you were a kid and played with two-way radios with your friends? This is something that some wireless companies are bringing out. Push-to-talk works the same way as the radios did and may now be the newest way to talk with others.
Although not new, Nextel has offered this feature for years, and it was used on constructions sites and in large factories where that quick call was efficient. It was called iDen technology by Motorola and these phones were ugly and large. As interest grows, PTT service will be available on more networks and some new phones will have this ability.
It is a very simple process, choose who you want to talk to and press a button. The difference between PTT and a typical cell phone call is that the two people cannot talk at the same time. As time passes, consumers want new things and faster service with ease of use and PTT seems to fit all these requirements. Push a button and contact another, how much easier can it get? So be ready for this to start popping up everywhere and it will be the talk of the town.
